I found the idea of creating a timeline about the UK really interesting because it is very visual and and easy to locate. It shows information in a clear and attractive way, which helps students understand and organise events easily. Therefore, and since I like learning and bringing great ideas to my class, I decided to create a timeline about the UK with my 3rd grade students of Primary Education.
Objectives
• To learn basic cultural information about the United Kingdom.
• To practise simple present structures (there is / there are).
• To develop creativity and digital competence.
• To encourage cooperative learning.
Steps
1. Students work in pairs or small groups.
2. First, we review key information about the United Kingdom (London, famous landmarks, food, traditions, etc.).
3. Each group plans a short timeline.
Assessment
• Correct use of target language.
• Cultural content about the United Kingdom.
• Creativity and presentation.
• Participation and teamwork.
